truly a logician's dream

winter's patience almost gone
March reminds of neeed for change
giving life a greater range
April's right for blissful fools
testing all capricious rules
May begins a time of growing
all the planets hope if flowing
June inspires heroic deeds
writing songs and pulling weeds
July is one long children's day
even grownups turn to play
August's swelter tests the heart
February's counterpart
September's ripened fruits abound
likewise canning chores astound
October brings the fated freeze
but also features magic trees
November favors restful moods
time for friends and talk and food
December's joy and pain are blended
nothing finished simply ended
I dot my "i's"; I rest my pen
Tomorrow it all will start again
